Why choose Holistic Wellness and Nutrition?
Hello! Let me take a moment to introduce myself and tell you my mission for Holistic Wellness and Nutrition. For years I struggled with lingering symptoms from an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. In 2018 I discovered the Autoimmune Elimination Diet (AIP), and it changed my life! After only a couple of weeks, I felt better physically and mentally than I had in years. It taught me about the importance of nutrition for health and wellness and started me on my journey to help others through holistic methods.
With my newfound knowledge and passion to help others, I began studying and learning about holistic and functional nutrition . I earned a Certificate in Holistic Nutrition Consulting from American College of Healthcare Sciences in December of 2019. I am finishing my Bachelor’s in Holistic Nutrition with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist.
My mission is to educate people about holistic health and nutrition, and how it can improve their lives. I want to help people make positive and sustainable changes in their lives.
Nutrition
Nutrition is an essential part of your health and wellness.The nutrients in food are needed for the body to function properly. Everybody’s body is unique , so it’s important to understand what your own body does and does not need. Food affects us physically, mentally and emotionally. Taking a holistic view of your nutrition can positively influence your whole being.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness, living in the present moment and accepting without judgement, is a powerful practice .It can help you focus and let go of negative emotions, reduce stress and anxiety and improve sleep, among many other benefits. Mindfulness is an important tool to help improve your health and wellness.
Movement
Moving your body has many benefits, and they’re not all physical. It can improve your mental health by increasing circulation, relieving stress and helping you to be mindful. It can also improve your mood and quality of your sleep. There are so many wonderful ways to move your body everyday to improve your health and wellness..
